Nitrogen Use Efficiency (NUE) Incentive Program
Corn and wheat growers in Maryland and Pennsylvania may qualify for funding through the Nitrogen Use Efficiency (NUE) Program. Participants work with agronomic advisors to improve nitrogen management, increase efficiency, and support water quality goals.

4R Voucher & Implementation Program Now Available for Chesapeake Bay Watershed Farmers
Funding is available for Chesapeake Bay Watershed farmers and trusted advisors implementing advanced nutrient management practices. Eligible participants may receive planning vouchers, per-acre cost-share payments, and technical assistance support for qualifying 4R stewardship projects.

Two Tiered Approach
The Mid-Atlantic 4R program is designed to help farmers move confidently from planning advanced nutrient management practices to successfully implementing them in the field. Our two-tiered approach removes financial and technical barriers while encouraging data-driven decisions that improve yield, efficiency, and nutrient stewardship across the Chesapeake Bay watershed.

Voucher Program
The Mid-Atlantic 4R Nutrient Stewardship Association has received funding from the Campbell Foundation and our 2024 National Fish and Wildlife Foundation Innovative Nutrient and Sediment Reduction grant to provide Certified Crop Adviser technical support and data management coaching through a voucher program. Cost Share
The Mid-Atlantic 4R Nutrient Stewardship Association is looking for producers who are interested in enhancing their 4R nutrient stewardship by adding an additional split to their nitrogen application or test a biofertilizer or biostimulant for the 2024 corn growing season with cost-share available of $20 an acre.
